General Information

An emphasis of our program is placed on homework.  We strive to serve the needs of the parents and children.  In helping children with their homework and providing tutoring, we help support the learning that takes place in the classroom. We also assist those parents that work or are Spanish speaking and have difficulty helping children with homework.  The last hour is designed to have the children participate in program activities.  Program activities range from computer classes, free time on the computers, art projects, literacy based activities and lessons, physical education (using the neighboring school gym), group activities aimed at promoting positive social interaction and development, cooking projects, program club meetings, and newsletter writing. We also take the children on occasional field trips throughout the year
