Fordham Bedford Community Services began as a project of the Fordham Bedford Housing Corporation (FBHC) in 1994.  It was created to offer education and recreation programs to young people in our community.  In 1995, FBCS was incorporated as a separate organization, but remains an affiliate of the Housing Corporation today.

Community Services has grown to meet a wide range of community needs.  Our programs and services include:

By partnering with other organizations, FBCS has been able to attract added programs and resources to our community.  Some of the organizations we work with include:  Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrant Rights (NMCIR); University Neighborhood Housing Program; Our Lady of Refuge Parish, National Student Partnership/LIFT the Bronx; the Police Athletic League; Enterprise Community Partners; Mosholu Montefiore Community Center; the Grace Institute and more.
