Heiskell Technology Center

The mission of the Heiskell Enterprise Center for Technology is to bridge the digital divide that exists in low-income neighborhoods and to provide a safe learning environment for children and adults alike. The availability of the Heiskell Enterprise Center for Technology gives the community a chance to enhance their computer skills, their résumé’s and to enrich their lives.  In the tradition set forth by Fordham Bedford Housing Corporation and Fordham Bedford Community Services, the Heiskell Enterprise Center for Technology provides services to the Bronx Community and serves as a resource.

The Heiskell Enterprise Center is available for the members of the community who utilize technology for leisure and educational purposes.  In order to use the lab, adults and children must complete a program registration form.  Everyone is required to review the rules and regulations.  Individuals interested in becoming a registered user must provide the program staff with two passport photos to create an identification card.  Once, the registration form is processed, identification cards for the applicant are provided.

The Heiskell Enterprise Technology Center is open Monday through Friday.  Adults can use the facilities during the day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.   Teens, adolescents and children can access the computers during open lab hours from 2:00- 6:00 p.m. Classes for adults are ongoing.

Individuals interested in taking basic or intermediate courses can contact the Heiskell Enterprise Technology Coordinator, William Sanchez
